Antonov An-124 ‘Condor’

Under development in late 1970’s as outsize freighter, capable of take-off and landing from unprepared fields and provided with front and rear loading access with fold-down hydraulic ramps. Prototype first flew on 29 December 1982 and the type entered service in January 1986. Set several world records for payload/distance flights. Total built to date: 55.
